Day 17

Last night was just terrible. It involved red wine, ice cream and candy. I haven't been that full in as long as I can remember. When I was done eating I passed out in a food coma and woke up at midnight. Let's just not talk about it so I can move on haha. I realized that I'm a total emotional eater. I eat when I'm happy and I eat when I'm stressed or sad. I just love to eat. I'm so happy that today is a new day and I can start over.
I made chili last night and it turned out SO good, I must say. If you want the recipe visit Katie's blog http://goodthingscatered.blogspot.com/search/label/turkey I definitely ate a huge portion, I couldn't stop myself.
Anyway, busy day at work. Happy Hump Day!

  1. Ahhh so we are in the same boat! LOL. I tried to tell myself the blow would be lighter if I would just GO to the gym before the popcorn and wine but it didn't work! I had 3 glasses of wine (two more after the post) and TWO of my vday COOKIES! Bad girl! LOL Oh well we are back ON today right? The bright side is that I Can't wait to work that stuff off on a good run tonight!

  3. Irene - I'm TOTALLY flattered that you liked the chili but lol @ my reading this post at first. I thought you were going to tell me you had a horrible day b/c of my recipe. hahaha. I'm sorry you had a day like that. I have a LOT of days like that as of late and it sucks. Hope tomorrow is way better.

  4. Aaw thanks, today will be much better! I was hoping the chili was pretty healthy because of the turkey but probably not good that I ate 3 servings lol.

  5. You and I have the same issue---loving to eat! I eat when I'm happy or lonely. Even when I'm sad...most times. That's an ongoing issue I work through--not turning to food to comfort me, or add to my happiness. :)

I too had wine this week, and usually I save the wine for one night, like a Friday. But I drank a BIG bottle between Monday and Tuesday night :( Oops. AND I thought about buying another bottle tonight! YIKES!!!! HELP!!!

  6. I hear ya! Wine is my biggest weakness, sugar is next in line. It's been a couple weeks since I had some so I went buck wild. I always make poor eating choices when I drink haha don't we all. =)

  7. Wine is a weakness of mine too. I actually told myself I couldn't buy any this week...to prove to myself I could resist!! :)

You're really doing great! I am gonna have to steal that chili recipe from you. And from one recoverer to another, we can do this. Remember to stay in control (aka: eat enough) and remember how beautiful you are!

  11. Think about how good you will feel when you get done! And remember... I WILL BE WORKING OUT! LOL It makes you feel even more like you deserve the REST of the wine! Even tho I finished my wine last night and I didn't workout! Do as I say not as I do LOL!
