Day 5

Last night was nice! I took Roxie to my best friends house for a walk and a little play time. After the long walk we go some yummy Pho. We almost got Thai but I think Pho was a little better for my waist line. After that I went home and snuggled in bed with Roxie since my hubby worked until 11:30pm. I enjoyed a Vitatop and 2 dove dark chocolates and then cut myself off.
Tonight I'm either going to kickboxing or running...we shall see. Derek gets off at a decent time so I'm excited to spend some time with him.
Payday tomorrow so I must get to work. Have a wonderful day!

Day 4

I hope you all had a wonderful Sunday. Mine was very relaxing. I didn't make it to the gym but I did manage to go on a long walk with Derek and Roxie. We took Roxie to the dog park in the afternoon which was a lot of fun. It had been raining all week so the place was more like one big mud pit. We gave Rox a bath when we got home. Soon after I made some chili and thew it in the crock pot to cook all day.
So, Derek and I might be leasing my parent's 2nd house. There are some major pros and cons. First off this house is probably 300 feet from my parent's house with a huge row of trees separating it...that's kind of a con privacy wise. The pros are the house is being remodeled somewhat right now and by the time we move in August it should be really nice. Right now it's a total dump. Another pro is it has 4 bedrooms and 2 baths and we would only pay around $1,000 a month for everything. It's a VERY hard decision blah I don't know what to do.
Anyway, I'm going to get to work and head to the gym later. Have a wonderful day!

Day 3

Happy Sunday! I'm not feeling that great this morning and I'm really not sure why? I had a couple of glasses of wine last night but nothing crazy. I didn't eat the best but not the worst either. After the gym I had a big bowl of cereal - 350 + Z Bar - 130 + Sweet Potato/Little Steak - 450 + Snacks at party and Wine - 600 + more cereal - 250. Ok wow I lied, I did eat a lot. I'm sure I left something out and that was bout 1,800 calories. Today will be much better. I proud to say that I avoided the chocolate cake.
We had a great time at the party. There was a lot of people there that I didn't know which took me out of my comfort zone a bit but it was nice getting to know new people. After the party we stopped by a local bar by a co-workers b-day. It was around 12:30 am so most people were already trashed. We got home around 1ish and passed out.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do today. I want to workout but that does not sound appealing at the moment because I haven't had my morning cup of joe. I also want to bust out my crockpot and make some chili. More to come...

Day 2

Good morning! I'm happy because it's a cool rainy morning and I can smell my coffee brewing. I passed out early last night and got a good 10 hours of sleep. My workout last night totally kicked my ass and I'm really sore. I jumped on the scale last night and was so mad at myself, I gained weight. Well the official number this morning is 151 pounds! This means I've gained 5-7 pounds since I started this blog. I'm not going to beat myself up over this, I'm just going to make a change. Yesterday was a really good start to day one.
This morning I'm going to head over to the gym once I'm fully awake. I'm going to do some arms and cardio. I told my mom and dad I would visit so I'm going to do that this afternoon. Tonight we are going to our friend's party, I think he's turning 30 this year. Derek has known him for 10 years through the Seattle band scene (Derek used to be a promoter).

Starting this over Day 1

I have 30 more days until my mini vacation with Derek so I think I'm going to start my count down over. I'm obviously not getting very far with what I've been doing and it's not fault but my own.
I'm so happy it's Friday! We are going to have crappy weather this weekend but I will try and make the best of it. I didn't work out last night so I'm hoping to workout tonight. The only issue I have with Friday night workouts is my baby Roxie has been home all day alone because Derek and I work the same shift on Friday. Well Derek works a second job on Friday nights so it's always just Roxie and I hanging out. Hmm maybe I can hang with her until 7ish and then run to the gym. Otherwise Derek works tomorrow so I plan on working out and visiting my mom and dad.
A little side note, I realize that last year I lost 25 pounds without counting calories. Maybe counting calories just isn't my thing. I also worked out like a mad lady..

Enchilada Recipe

You have to try these Turkey Enchiladas! My husband kept raving about them all night. The only thing I did different was cooking the turkey over medium heat until 90% done, drain the fat and then add the sauce and veggies and cook over high. I also added one jalapeno pepper.

Day 60

Aahh I woke up late today so I'm a little off schedule. I need some coffee before I hurt someone. To top everything off I have an awful headache. I'm supposed to leave work a little early to see Derek's co-workers son play some baseball. I guess they are top in state but I'm going to feel like an old lady next to all the high school girls ha.
I DID workout last night! I hauled over to the gym and did 40 minutes on the elliptical. After the gym Derek and I took Roxie on a quick walk around the neighborhood. I'm not sure if my horrible snack attack cancelled my workout. It involved chocolate...lots of it.

Day 59

Last night I had an awesome workout! It felt good to attend kickboxing, it's been so long. I was so tired last night that I feel asleep with my contacts in...I hate that.
I stuck to my meal plan besides dessert. I had a VitaTop - 100 and some chocolate chips - 150. I also had a few bites of Derek's hash browns so I will say 100.
Tonight I'm going to try and go to the gym right when I get home so I can enjoy the rest of the night with Derek. I want to make something with ground turkey. Any suggestions? I already made chili this week. Derek could eat chili 7 days a week but I want to change it up.

Day 58

Aahh still feel like crap this morning. Aunt Flo is on the way! =( My jeans are feeling tight so it's time to kick my butt into gear.
I'm going to make it to kickboxing tonight no matter what. Maybe I will even go early to do a little elliptical.

Day 57

I feel so bloated from this weekend, I hope it goes away really soon. I'm ready to get back on track. I won't be able to workout tonight because of work and right after I have to get my mom from the airport.
Derek and looked at houses yesterday so that was fun and a bit stressful. There are some great deals right now.

Day 56

Good morning! This weekend really flew by, tomorrow is back to work.
Yesterday was cheat day to say the least and so was Friday. I work up bright and early and had to take Roxie to the vet because her stitches weren't healing properly. Soon after I met my best friend for the best breakfast ever. I had 2 eggs over medium, ham, hash browns, pancakes and some of my Derek's omelet. Wow, I felt like a major pig by the time I left. I didn't eat anything else until 7pm! Going out to breakfast used to be my favorite thing before I lost weight. This time it was different, I felt disgusting. So I doubt I will be going out to breakfast any time soon unless I can practice a little self control.
Last night we went to our friends house and had a little get together. My friend leaves tomorrow to go back to nursing school so we had to say bye. It was nice seeing friends that I hadn't seen in months. We stopped by the liquor store and got a bottle of Sky and mixed it with V8 fruit juice - yum! I brought crackers, cheese and salami. All night we munched on egg rolls, cheese filled pastries, breaded shrimp, chips and much more. I was SO full. I swear I just don't know when to stop. We started talking about weight and diet last night and it's funny how everyone had a totally different take on it. My friend Megan who is tiny went off about how she never counts calories and just eats what she wants when she's hungry. Most of my girlfriend's said they don't weigh themselves. I thought that was interesting.
I forgot to mention that I made snickerdoodles on Friday night and munched on those all weekend.
So I'm going to *try* and get back to my healthy ways today. I'm drinking coffee right now and I will keep you posted....

Day 55

I just realized that I'm on day 55 but I have nothing I'm counting to. Looks like I will be counting forever. I've maintained pretty well over the last year. I'm within 5-7 pounds of my wedding weight.
Last night was not a great night for the diet. I'm sick of eating healthy in a way. I feel my best when I'm eating right and working out but it gets old.
I'm going out to breakfast this morning with my hubby and best friend and I'm sure that's going to take up a lot of my calories for the day.
I think I'm going to skip calorie counting for today and get back on track tomorrow.

Day 54

Happy Friday! My office is having a party for a different department today but us ladies in accounting are invited. I made some snickerdoodle cookies last night to bring with me and they are so yummy! I managed to only eat a little bit of the dough which is huge for me because I like cookie dough more than cookies.
I had an awesome workout last night but over did it in the food department a bit. I'm starting to feel a little better overall. I'm thinking about not using my scale anymore. Does anyone have success with that? It usually brings me down unless I see a lower number. I should go with how my clothes fit but I'm so fixated on a number.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do tonight. It's raining so a walk is probably out of the question.

Day 53

I had to look back at my workout schedule for the week and realized that I didn't workout Tuesday but I did yesterday, which was supposed to be my rest day. I'm not sure what I'm going to do at the gym tonight. I'm a tiny bit sore from doing a little leg work last night. There is a class at 5:45 called All Star Workout or I can just do arms and hop on the elliptical.
Last night was pretty good food wise. I ate my planned dinner and snack but had a few gummy worms and one thin mint to top it off. I need to put a lock on the cupboards and fridge at night to stop myself for snacking.
We have this huge audit going on at my office so I need to get to work.
PS. Work is going great, I'm soooo happy to be back. I'm actually raising money to send kids to camp who are affected my HIV and AIDS. So far I've raised $385!!

So I haven't weighed myself in FOREVER. I don't plan on stepping on the scale for a good week. It makes me a sad, sad person sometimes.
I want to concentrate more on eating right, working out and living a healthy lifestyle. This doesn't necessarily mean diet or lose a lot of weight. I've lost most of the weight that I wanted to lose but now I have to do the hard thing which is maintain.
I wish I could eat anything and everything I want but if I did that I would gain every ounce I lost. It takes me good time to drop weight but I gain it fast.
So I calculated my BMR and I would need to eat 1,875 calories to maintain my weight with no exercise.
I plan on working out 3-4 times a week so I consider this moderately active. So, according to this calculator http://walking.about.com/cs/calories/l/blcalcalc.htm I would need to consume 2,250 calories per day to maintain.
I'm going to shoot for 1 pound per week weight loss until I'm down to 140.
To do this I'm going to eat 1,750 and workout at least 3 times per week if not more.
Wow, I've been rambling but I'm glad I figured this out.
I don't have to stave to be healthy and lose weight.

I feel like poo this morning about my binge last night. I now realize that it really isn't worth it. I think I had 3 or 4 slices of Hawaiian pizza, 3 glasses of wine, some gummy candy and my cherry dessert. The crazy part is I woke up starving. Anyway, last night I felt sick to my stomach after eating all of that and just passed out.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do today. Right now I'm just sipping on some coffee. It's snowing pretty hard outside, gotta love Seattle. I know I have to go to Babies R Us to get my friend at work a gift for her daughters 1st b-day.

Day 44

Wow!! Long, long day! First off I just wanted to thank you ladies for the kind words, it really made me feel better. Today seemed a tiny bit better. I've just been taking notes on every little thing and trying my best.
Does anyone else work a salary job? Do you find yourself working very long days? It seems to be the norm for people to work 12-14 hour days in my new office!!! The girl who is training me even works some weekends NO WAY!
I have to be in at 6am tomorrow morning and who knows how late I will be there. =( I don't want to be one of those people who lives at work but these deadlines are crazy! I've felt like having a break down about 5 times today, better than yesterday.
On a positive note, everyone in my office seems great. Today a lady made lunch for everyone and it was yummy. Yesterday my boss brought in breakfast, very nice. I also get a company lap top, yay! This means I can work from home sometimes once I know what the hell I'm doing.

Day 43

Today was day one of the new job...all I can say at this point is wow. I cried the whole way home (around 45 minutes). People probably thought I a nut case. Anyway, I have to understand that it is going to be hard at first and I'm not going to understand everything. Blah. This job seems very challenging. I can't believe how much stuff she does in one day. I'm going to go cuddle with my pup. Hope everyone had a nice Monday.

Day 42

I start my new job tomorrow...very nervous and excited. I've never had to commute to downtown Seattle so it should be interesting.
Sooo last night was fun! I went to an Ale House and watched the fights with about 10 friends.
We had to be up bright and early for another bball game. They won and are going to the championships!
I got my Target trip out of the way for the month. I bought a bunch of house stuff and 2 new pairs of work pants. I'm between a size 6 and 8. Of coarse everything was too short on me.

I Quit

I did it, I quit my job and I start my new adventure Monday. I'm really excited but also sad to leave the girls I love. The controller came to my office before I left and went off on me a bit. She told me I was screwing the company over, just wonderful huh. Well, I can't turn back so I must move ahead now. Whew I can't believe I did it. I think I've been driving my husband, brother, sister, best friend and mom CRAZY with my indecisions. I actually called my mom approximately 15 times today. HA

Day 40 ~ HELP

It's Friday! I'm super stressed today and need some advice ahhh! I know the final decision is up to me but...That job I was going to take is still open if I want it but I would need to let them know by 2pm and I would have to start Monday. I've been at my current company for the last three years and I did put my notice in two weeks ago but took it back cause they gave me $$. WELL now there is a new bill out in the Senate trying to shut us down yet again. If this bill passed, it would cripple our industry. This new job would be about the same pay but the commute is 17 miles each way. I'm currently driving maybe 3 miles each way. This new position would be a higher tittle for me. The real kicker is both my husband and I work for this company so if we go down we both lose our jobs and health benefits. This new job insists that the economy does not affect them and they've been around 40 years.
Any advice would be SO much appreciated. Have you ever left your job w/o notice? How the hell do you do it? I love these people I work with (most of them).

Day 39

I woke up this morning and totally had it in my head that it was Wednesday. I don't mind it being Thursday at all. I'm sooo tried and still very sore. I feel like an old lady.
I'm trying not to panic but I got a call from my doctor last night and something was wrong with my pap. So they wanted to schedule me a month out because it wasn't "urgent" but I insisted on an earlier appointment. I'm the most paranoid person in the world so I have a 100 scenarios going through my head, bummer.
I get to pick up my car from the shop after work today yay! I'm so tired of driving a crappy rental car. Some a-hole driving like a maniac hit my new Honda Element a week before my wedding back in November. Anyway, ever since I got my car back from the shop all this crap has gone wrong. I'm pretty happy with Progressive, they've fixed everything with no charge and put me in a rental car from the beginning of this mess.

Day 38

I made it to kickboxing last night and it totally kicked my ass. If this is even possible, I'm more sore today than yesterday ouch. When I got home I was starving so I snacked on some grapes and ate dinner. I was still hungry after that so I had a cup of golden ghrams. I know that wasn't the best cereal choice but the sugar isn't terrible, 11 grams.
Tonight I'm going to take the night off and cook dinner. I haven't had wine in exactly one week so I'm going to crack a bottle open later.
I have been so busy at work lately. I'm helping a general accountant in my department get caught up which if putting my behind. Oh well, I don't mind helping.
My friend stopped by my office yesterday with her baby! She is so precious! I got to hold her for a bit but I was so nervous. Girls in my office keep asking me when Derek and I are going to have babies...I usually reply "when they go on sale". We will have babies soon enough, possibly in the next year we will be trying.

Day 37

Aahh I'm still sore, when will the madness go away? I was so ready to throw in the towel yesterday but I dragged my but to the gym for a quick 40 minute workout. Today my bff and I are going to kickboxing at 5:45. I used to love that class, I haven't been in probably two months.
I got to work early to help the other ladies in accounting so I better get on it.
Here is today~
B- Oatmeal + ff Milk & Coffee w/cream - 300
S - Apples - 90
L - 1 slice wheat bread (90) 1 slice turkey (60) 3 clementines (75)
S- Luna Bar - 180
S- 3 Flax Crackers - 120
D- I'm thinking leftover chili - 400
S- Grapes - 100 + Cereal - 200 + Few Dried Cherries/Wafers - 150
E- 1 hour of kickboxing

Mon- Working out - Elliptical
Tues- Kickboxing with Noelle
Wed- Rest Day
Thurs- All Star Workout @ Gym
Fri- Walk Roxie (hopefully the rain goes away)
Sat- Getting hair done @ 9:30 am and B-day party @ 1:30
Sun- Gym

Day 36

I'm pretty sore today, I can really feel it in my legs and arms. I made the mistake of weighing myself this morning, not good. My muscles could be retaining water. Also, I ate a heavy dinner at 8pm AND a little bit of Derek's Oreo shake, damnit.
I have a great weekend, it was busy but great. Tonight is the finale of the Bachelor. It's funny cause I just realized that Jason lives 10 minutes from my place in Kirkland, weird. I heard all types of spoilers on the radio this morning.
Today will be super busy! I'm trying to sip on my morning cup of joe to wake up.

Day 35

Wow, I'm up so early on a Sunday morning. We got home around 3am from playing Bingo. No, I didn't win the $24,000 jackpot...maybe next time? Derek won $200 on the slots. I really hate gambling, it makes me sick to see everyone looking like zombies. Of coarse it's alright in moderation but it's just not my thing. We got to see my brother in law's kitchen remodel, I'm so jealous! He remodeled the whole thing basically by himself and it looks amazing.
I was 147.6 this morning, guess that's a little better than the 149 I saw the other day.
I have sooo much stuff I need and want to get done today. I want to go to Target, Costco, Trader Joe's and the grocery store. I think I can skip TJ's but I love that place.
I hope everyone has a fabulous Sunday. Back to the office tomorrow.
