TGIF

Gosh, I'm a slacker with blogging!
It's been so hot in Seattle, I can't believe it. We never hit 80! Anyway, this hot weather is making me not want to be in a gym so this week was a wash.
I went grocery shopping on Wednesday and bought some really healthy stuff, $200 later. I also bought fat free ice cream and it's pretty tasty. I decided after this carton that I cannot eat ice cream at night, I have absolutely no will power.
Tomorrow night I'm going out for my friend's b-day. She said she's turning "25" but I think she's actually 33 or 34 this year.
I've been eating yogurt mixed with fruit in the mornings. Today I looked at the nutrition and there was 15g of sugar. That is too much for me. =(
Anyway, no big plans tonight which is a shocker. I'm ready for the weekend and it's going to be a healthy one. :)

Hump Day Already?

Wow, this week is going by surprisingly fast. Last night we went to our new house to map out the kitchen. I swear this new house is giving me way more stress than I ever thought it would.
After the house we took the crazy Roxie to the dog park and met up with my friend for dinner. We had teriyaki and it was sooo good. I ate the entire plate, which didn't seem like that much food (white chicken and brown rice). After dinner I can home and went on facebook forever, I think I'm a bit obsessed.
I'm STILL sore but I'm going to workout tonight. I would like to run Greenlake with my friend but it's such a pain to drive downtown on a week night.

Oh, what good friends I have...love them all.
I'm going to buy some sweet and low and take Reese's advice on adding that to my cottage cheese. I had a horrible experience with it yesterday and was totally gagging.

Back to work...

I'm back at work after an amazing three day weekend. I have to keep reminding myself that today is Tuesday not Monday.
To sum up my weekend, it was lots of fun with different friends each night. Friday night was a BBQ at my bro-in-laws. Saturday was a long run with my bff followed by a BBQ at my boss's house in the evening. Sunday was lunch on the water with some friends followed by a BBQ at my best friend's. FINALLY Monday was dinner at my in-laws. Wow, lots of fun and TONS of food.
I did awesome with my workouts this weekend. On the food front, no so much but I tried my best. I went to Greenlake twice and ran around twice each time. That's 13 miles!
I went to the store this morning and stocked up on a bunch of healthy items.

Must wake up

I'm just sitting here drinking some coffee and trying to wake up. I'm stoked for the three day weekend.
Last night we hung out with a few friends and barbecued some chicken and steak. I went a little overboard on the chips...and more chips. Gosh, I hate going places when I'm starving.
This morning I'm meeting my friend to run around Green Lake. This lake is the happening place in Seattle, just about the entire healthy city is running around the lake every time I drive by. I'm hoping we can run around twice, which would be six miles.
Tonight is another BBQ, this time for my boss. I'm excited to see some of my co-workers outside of work. I work with such wonderful ladies.

TGIF

Sorry I missed yesterday. I was feeling like a fatty and had no inspiration to talk healthy.
Well, it's Friday and I turned my frown upside down. haha
Last night I went on a LONG walk with my bff and hubby. We walked around 5 miles. It was so nice out, I couldn't see being couped up in a gym.
Last night I made homemade black bean burgers and sweet potato fries. If I was normal I would stop eating when I was full but nope, I stuffed myself silly. Grrr this vicious cycle! I also need to have an intervention with ice cream. It's not normal to eat ice cream every night and expect to lose weight. When I lost some weight last year I snacked on 100 calorie kettle korn and it satisfied me. I might try that again.
I'm just looking forward to getting out of work for a THREE day weekend and beautiful weather. No big plans this year, shocker. We went camping last year. We might meet some friends and camp one night tomorrow.
Any exciting plans to tell me about? I would love to hear them. =)
This morning started out with a triple mocha...bad girl. I swear, I really did need it. I had oatmeal and an apple for breakfast. Lunch will be a leftover burger and carrots. I will be good the rest of the day.

Ouch...sore

So, I was just about to skip the gym last night when I made myself go. I ended up running/jogging for over 5 miles. That felt great! My knees hate me this morning.
On a side note, I have this viscous cycle. It's called working out hard and over eating. I need to stop this and maybe, just maybe I will lose a little weight.
I'm going to try my best to be good with food all day. I've been craving Chiptole but I know that's far from healthy.
Other exciting stuff is the house is coming along, slowly but surely. Everything is so damn expensive, it's stressing me out. Oh well, we will survive.
I'm still trying to wake up so I apologize for the random ramblings.
Well, I made it half way through the week and I can't wait for a 3 day weekend!

Sleepy Day

It's pouring rain today and I could not drag my ass out of bed for the life of me. I finally did and now I'm at work with wet hair. I need to stop being so lazy. :)
Last night I made it to the gym and did 45 minutes of cardio. All was well until I went home and had a snack attack. For dinner we had leftover pizza....and a little ice cream. I feel guilty for eating like that after a wonderful workout.
Tonight is kickboxing...to be honest, it's the last thing I want to do. Last week I was all ready for the class and it was cancelled.
Derek is off at 5pm so I'm excited to spend the evening at home with him.
Funny story, kinda...so I sent my awesome hubby to the store to buy me some tampons (what a great guy) and he comes home with the extra super ones. I hate those ones but I bit my lip and thanked him. I'm curious who else sends the hubby to the store to buy tampons? Am I the only evil bitch out there? haha.

New week

It's Monday and I'm glad it's a new week because I can start up with my healthy ways.
Yesterday was uncomfortably hot in Seattle, around 75-80 degrees. I know that's not even warm in some places, I don't know how those people do it.
We ended up lounging around all morning and finally got dressed and ready in the afternoon. We headed to the beach with Roxie. Soon after, we got a call from some friends wanting to meet up for lunch. I was STARVING at the point because it was 2pm and I hadn't eating all day...terrible I know. I have a chicken club and it was soooo good.
My friends boyfriend just purchased the PX90 dvds and he said he would burn them for me! I'm so excited about that.
After lunch I took Roixe on a 3 mile walk and worked up a nice sweat.
We had pizza for dinner and some slow churned ice cream for dessert. No more being bad for me!
Today I'm going to catch up on some super exciting things at work and then workout tonight. Derek works until 8pm so I'm not sure about dinner.

The good, the bad and the ugly

Good morning! I'm sitting here drinking some coffee, shocked I'm not hunger over. I'm so sad that it's Sunday already, meaning I have to go back to work tomorrow.
Yesterday morning I finally dragged myself to the gym and had an awesome workout. I came home and made eggs and pancakes.
We relaxed the rest of the afternoon and then I got ready for the BBQ.
The good part was I bought some chicken for the grill and had some great intentions. The bad part was eating a good serving (or three) of chips and the ugly was tequila. Oh yes, I love me some tequila.
My friend also made some jello shots, so yummy. Of the coarse of 5 hours I had around 10 shots, yikes.
I'm going to TRY my best to be a good girl today. My co-worker is supposed to be coming over with her dog to see if the two pups can get along. I said I would dog sit for her as long as they can play nicely together. I have a feeling this might not end well.
Also, we are supposed to get brunch with some friends. Brunch never ends well for me, I love everything about brunch.

Terrible Blogger

I've been sooo bad at blogging...I'm sorry to all of my blogger friends. Work has been crazy this past week or so.
On the diet and exercise front, I've been doing alright. I could be doing much better but I haven't been terrible. Ha if that makes any sense.
Last night we went to the Mariner/Red Sux game. The Mariners won, yay! We got to the game an hour late because of traffic, that was no fun. On the drive down I shoved my face with honey mustard pretzels. I didn't even realize what I was doing until they were gone. Derek wanted a soda on the way to the game so he could mix it with some shots. Well, we stopped at Taco Bell and ended up being stuck in the drive thru for 25 minutes...all for a damn drink.
This weekend is supposed to be beautiful. I woke up at 8am because the sun was shining through all of the windows.
Plans for today...drinking coffee now, lots of it. I want to get some laundry done, exercise of some sort and BBQ at my bro-in-laws tonight.
Can't wait for the BBQ but I need to be good all day so I can splurge on some drinks and yumuy food.

Where is the sun?

I wish the sun would come out already. It's been pouring/windy for four days now. I'm hoping the weather will clear tonight so I can walk outside. I'm going to take tonight off from the gym.
Yesterday I did a little leg work and 40 minutes on the elliptical. When I got home I was SO hungry. I proceeded to shove my face with anything I could find. Including hummus, veggie chips, cereal and a rice cake. That was my white trash dinner. I'm so glad Derek will be off at a decent hour tonight so I can get back to cooking and a normal life.
I'm contemplating buying a bottle of wine. If you don't like wine you must try Gnarly Head Red Zin. I didn't like wine until a friend of mine introduced me to this little bit of heaven, damn him.
I can't believe it's almost Friday. I have to say, for once, that this week and gone by fast. The even better part is Derek has the weekend off with me. It will be a busy weekend for sure.
I'm still trying to decide what to buy or make for my mom, mother-in-law, sister-in-law and Derek's grandma. I was thinking Starbucks cards and baking them cookies or something like that.

Made it to Hump Day

I made it to kickboxing last night!! There happened to be a sub but it was still an awesome workout. I was sweating buckets. I also looked like an idiot because she had a totally different routine than the other lady. Before class I did a brief arm workout and walked for 10 minutes.
Last night I weighed 151.8 I believe. I would love to see the 140's soon.
For dinner I had some chili followed by organic chocolate bunny crackers for dessert. That wasn't enough so I snuck back out to the freezer and grabbed a little Dove dark chocolate square, good stuff!
Derek works late again tonight so I will most likely take advantage of the gym again. Today will probably be 45-1 hour on the elliptical and some abs. The other night they ran out of towels and I had to use paper towels...yuck.
I'm so glad the week is half way over with...I'm SO ready for the weekend.

One week down

I've been back on track pretty much for one whole week. It feels really good to get back into it. Last night I ran/fast walked for 3.5 miles. I really thought I was going to die. For some reason this run killed me.
After the gym I was all alone so I made myself a fancy meal, cereal. WAY too much cereal. I feel like every time I decide to eat cereal for dinner I totally binge.
Tonight is kickboxing, yay love that class. Although a sub is teaching, I hope it's just as good.

Monday Already?

I didn't get around to posting yesterday. I was a little hung over. I'm feeling super tired today because I didn't get much sleep Saturday night. Last night I stayed up late last night to watch Daisey of Love and Breaking Bad.
I did pretty well eating wise this weekend. Derek and I made a Costco trip yesterday and spent way too much money. Oh well, it's all healthy food. I also bought some Flax Seed to put in my cereal and oatmeal ect.
My plans for this week is to workout 4 times and eat healthy. I will be heading to the gym after work to get a run/hills in. I didn't make it to the gym yesterday but I did on Saturday.
I can't believe Mother's Day is this Sunday! Ahhh I need to find my mom a gift.

Yay for the weekend

Sorry I was MIA yesterday. I was super busy all day with payroll and non stop b.s.
This morning I weighed 152.8. I'm slowly crawling back to the 140's. I've done so well this week with eating. Not so much with working out. I'm going to workout today for sure.
I went to the Mariner game last night and sat in my company's rock star seats. I'm proud to say I didn't eat a lot of junk. Just one box of crackerjacks.
Derek works all day and when he gets off we are going to a show. That's one thing Seattle is good for, the band scene. Since my hubby promotes bands, whenever we go out we see a million people he knows.
I plan on cleaning the house, doing laundry and going to the gym. With the flu going around it's pretty scary going to the germ filled gym. I will make sure to wipe everything down.
